About the item

This rustic oak chair has been built in the manner of Charles Dudouyt, the well-known French neo-classical designer of the 40s and 50s.

The chairs have a carved wood pattern on top with the typical not design on top. The backrest have a beautiful curved angle. The look is complemented with the oak wood, that has a beautiful pattern visible. The wicker complements the rustic look.

The chairs have been very well built in solid oak wood, with thick oak columns forming its foundation, testifying to their brutalist look.

About its condition

The chairs are in a good vintage condition overall. The wood has patina but other than that it has been well maintained, without any structural damage. 2 of the 4 backrests have some discolouration of the wood, likely due to sunlight exposure. The wicker has been extremely well kept, and hardly has any signs of use.
