About the item

Very rare design by Franco Legler (Switzerland 1922) for Zanotta Italy. Designed and produced in the 60s.

Legler has become famous due to his iconic basket chair (1951) however Legler has had many other interesting designs as well. This Oasis is a good example of this.

The chair has a very beach type of feeling and can ideally be used as a chair for in the garden, at the beach or other outdoor places. This chair can be disassembled and be stocked very compact.

The frame consists of massive beech beech wood elements, black canvas cloth, leather armrest straps and small metal connection rods.

The chair is in the style of Arne Norell (Safari), Wilhelm Kienzle (Safari) or Hans Konecke (D66) however has its own finesse.

The chair has its original markings present along with that its history can be traced back in literature.
