About the item 

Functional and compartmented teak wood coffee table designed by Carlo Hauner and manufactured by Forma italy 1961.

The table is compartmented into 4 different segments, each segment can be used as a storage compartment thereby providing practicality. Each storage compartment has its own separate lid. A total of 4 lids are included, consisting of 3 wood lids and 1 glass lid. The lids can be used as serving trays as well, enhancing the functionality of the table.

Carlo Hauner (Brescia 1927-1997) is well-known for his designs for Forma, a Brazilian furniture company that brought to live many iconic designs. Carlo Hauner set up the company Forma in Brazil after moving to Buenos Aires in 1938 and designed simultaneously, often in conjunction with Martin Eisler. In 1958 Carlo Hauner moved back to Italy where he established the Italian branche of the company and worked for many well-respected clients and produced many iconic designs.

His designs are well appreciated in the design world. In contrast to most of his designs, this coffee table was solely designed by Carlo Hauner himself.

About its condition 

The table is in very good vintage condition and complete with all parts, with some small patina on the wood.
