Brutalist stone and brass mosaic coffee table Germany 1970s

SOLD TO LONDON, UK

About the item

This brutalist stone and brass coffee table is of unknown origin but was purchased by the previous owners in Germany in the 70s in a design shop.

It is very likely of German origin and bears a lot of similarities with Bernhard Rohne however the table isn’t signed.

The table consists of a concrete stone top that has been treated in order to create a grey and copper coloured mosaic. The top does not appear to be painted so a different technique was used to create the mosaic of colours.

The table rests on a rosewood veneered table.

About its condition

The table is in a very good general condition, with only limited wear visible on the top and foot.
