Our Story

Our company was created out of hobby. Our love for design in general and furniture in specific lead us to renew our interior on regular base. At a certain point, we found out that we became more knowledgable on design furniture, more enthousiast about it during the process and more passionate about the idea of actually expanding this hobby into a real life business.

We started of in Artifort pieces and expanded the hobby into Eames pieces while nowadays the assortment consists of  high quality pieces from several well-known and less well-known and up-and-coming designers and brands. Our assortment is carefully selected for our customer base, whereby we focus on quality, affordability and design. We like to have a variety in our assortment between established and well-known premium pieces and less well-known items that are still considered affordable. Our focus lies on mid-century, mid-century modern, modernist and contemporary design from the 1950s to 2000s .

In 2019 we started an actual business and called it “Redesignable”. We consider used furniture of considerable (design) quality as having eternal value, continuing relevance for interior design and lasting application in modern interiors. Therefore, we consider this furniture as being redesignable over the course of time.

What We Do

We buy, restore and sell used furniture along with selling new design furniture as our base activity but we offer additional services as well:

  • search assignments for specific furniture pieces based on the customers’ demands
  • contract interior design for business clients such as homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, bars and public spaces.
  • rental of furniture pieces for (temporary) events and occasional uses.
  • consignment sales of furniture pieces on behalf of clients.

Consignment sales

We have the option of selling used design and vintage furniture in consignment on behalf of clients. Due to our international network and access to international trading platforms we can provide the client with a total solution. The needs of the client will be taken care of in full, from intake of the furniture to shipping of the furniture once it’s been sold. We love to discuss the available options with you.

Reupholstering of furniture

We have the option of reupholstering furniture pieces for you in the desired fabric or leather. If you like certain furniture pieces we have on sale but you’re not convinced on the current fabric or leather, we can customize it according to your desires. We work together with professional workshops (ateliers) for furniture upholstery and we can supply you with most fabrics, such as Kvadrat, De Ploeg, Camira, Keymer, Gabriel, and different sorts of leather.
